While he was previewed as recently as SDCC we hadn’t seen many high quality shots of Bandai’s forthcoming S.H. Figuarts Bruce Lee figure, but then today happened. It looks like they’ve worked really hard to ensure the likeness is spot on, even going as far as showing off their 3D modelling of his face.
Obviously this isn’t the first Bruce Lee action figure every created but usually they’re at a slightly different scale than the SH Figuarts, with most recent ones coming 1:6 scale – from Enterbay and Medicom Toy (via Eric So). A smaller scale Bruce Lee is therefore a welcome addition, especially as they’re including multiple expressions along with multiple hands, plus some weapon accessories. He’ll also be joining, scale-wise, Figuarts like the Power Rangers, Daft Punk, Iron Man, The Hulk, Batman, Superman and even Darth Vader. And he’ll also be close in scale to the MonsterArts Wolf Predator, plus the Big Chap and AvP Warrior Aliens. Ahhh, the stupid photographs one could make with that concoction of figures.
The figure will be released January 2016, priced at ¥5940 [more info here @ Tamashii Nations]. Man, that’s a long time to wait for what looks like an awesome action figure.
